"--single-process" not working #8173

It seems that the stable and works fine version is v0.70.1,
the v0.71.0 version sometimes works and sometimes crashes,
the newer versions always crash.

OS: Windows 10

It works for me on v0.85.0. Can you come up with a repro which crashes everytime?
